Slowly..
This is what could be pieced together of Englund's history. It may or may not be true.
Origin
Englund was born October 30th.. a small, but healthy baby, into a wealthy family.. Exaggerating that her family never fought, and everything was perfect.
However, her mother had a difficult time birthing her.. and, after Englund, many miscarriages ensued; never having another child live afterwards. She did have one older sister.. the opposite of her in every way.. "Miserable, unpretty, stupid.."
Englund has no idea what happened to her, she just stopped coming home. Her parents never quite got over it..
Despite this, she had a pretty normal childhood, and was never rebellious or disobedient. Her parents called her 'the perfect child.' Always doing her chores, always polite, always smiling.. quick to make friends, and would never hurt a fly..
Her teenage years were delightful; with a string of polite gentleman for boyfriends, quite popular, all while getting perfect A's.
She passed through the teenage years with flying colors, seemingly perfectly happy.
Too good to be true?
Bliss
Of course, all that changed... Around the age of seventeen, the Batdoll fell into a relationship with a man she would refer to as 'the most magical person I ever met'.
He was attractive, devilishly so, and lavished expensive gifts on her.. he promised her the moon - and delivered. Headfirst, she tumbled, and when the man pulled out a syringe, and asked her to 'feel the color with him', she thought nothing of it. That first needle went into her arm, Heroin following, and damn, did she feel the color.
And so she spiraled, further and further. She left her family and sold everything she owned. He abandoned her at a hospital when she overdosed, but was there waiting outside when she was released, and quick to give her the next fix. Often coerced into selling her body to feed her nasty habit - especially to extreme sadists; yet, she never appealed as a blood-doll, due to the tainted nature of hers. She made the condition that her face, arms and legs never be harmed, but when enough money or drugs were offered, this was forgotten.
She was burned with lighters, cut with everything.. her bones were broken.. parts of her were pierced, and then ripped out, only to be pierced again.. Tied and bound with barbed wire.. spiked and studded things were pushed into her, she was raped countless times. She felt it all, but it was dulled severely, and she wouldn't have cared if she had.
After a particularly gruesome session of torture had finished, she left the building, bleeding, and very high. And met a strange, beautiful woman... similar to her, but not exactly... for this woman was a different sort of junkie.
Abyss
The strange, beautiful woman soon revealed herself to be L'Amore. A highly promiscuous woman who cheated on her husband with a string of different men, ran a night club, and was severely depressed, though she'd never let anyone know it.
She helped Englund through her withdraw, and it was not at all easy. She locked the small female in a room, with no chance of escape. Englund was always cold, shaky, she vomited often, and was very anxious, among other things. The burning, piercings and cutting she had experienced over the past year was nothing compared to the pain she felt now. She wouldn't eat anything, but L'Amore always made sure she had water.
Oddly enough, Englund was not at all thankful towards the woman who saved her life. She thought her cruel and careless, and despised the way she went through men. L'Amore was quite fond of criticizing the Batdoll in various ways; her clothes didn't suit her - her food wasn't any good - why doesn't she do anything different with her hair?
As to be expected, the Batdoll's beau showed up again, but not before L'Amore offered her the chance of a lifetime.
Chance
L'Amore informed Englund she was interested in moving in back to France, and as such, could no longer manage Disenchant. She was hesitant to offer it to an ex-drug addict, but Englund was the only woman she knew whose boyfriend/husband she hadn't stolen away. Englund tentatively accepted, after the cougar spent a night convincing her.
Her junkie boyfriend continued to come around, and bang on the door, but L'Amore never let him in. She told Englund that she was better than that, she didn't need that lifestyle anymore, she didn't need that man.
He approached her as she was leaving the apartment one night.. and quickly turned cold when she told him she wasn't interested in his 'fantasy' anymore.. He beat her within an inch of her life, and all that dulled pain came flooding back. She laid there for a day and a night, before gathering up the strength to make it to Disenchant. She fixed herself up in the medical area, bandages everywhere. She placed a pair of opera gloves over her arms, her scars and mutilated veins unseen.
Her first day in Disenchant was fairly easy, despite the awkwardness of having to explain to everyone who she was and where L'Amore had gone. She made lattes, and threw a small party. She tore down all the decorations of L'Amore's, and redesigned the place entirely. She had finally found a home.
Affection
Around the beginning of October, Englund was standing in the cemetary when she heard footsteps behind her. She turned to see a lovely, unique badger; Englund asked if she had a lighter, and they had a cigarette amongst the tombstones.. She took the initiative and kissed the other fem and so a relationship began.
However, Englund is deathly afraid that her 'boyfriend' will return, as she still does not consider the relationship void... yet she knows she is safe with Label, and is absolutely mad about her.
While strolling with Label during the evening, she found a baby bat in a small crook of the garden. He was close to meeting death, and she hurried to rescue him, rarely leaving his side. She named him Scex, teaching him how to talk; he knows all her secrets and fears. Often, he runs off to chase after female bats, and Englund worries about him a great deal, but knows he'll always come back to her..
(More to come...)
